I don't know why people are freaking the **** out over this hurricane. I live in Florida, I deal with this **** almost every year. Category 1 hurricane and people Evac. Are you kidding me?

I was thinkin the same thing too but then you have to consider what the houses are made out of. We have concrete houses with metal and **** while the people up north have things like wood and well, just not as sturdy housing.

The main issue is hurricanes in the north are not a short affair like sandy the real threat is that like what happened now is a cold front from the north can hold a hurricane off the coast and keep it from hitting land. This is the real danger because while a hurricane continues to ride the gulf stream in gains power instead of loosing it. This is how we get Nor'easters which happened when sandy started breaking up near south carolina and got down graded to tropical storm but after some time in the gulf stream it powered back up to category 1.
