I think it's because people want to see what it's like to be human in a merry band of actual Superheroes. Personally, I wish this wasn't the case(Batman's a pretty messed up guy when he's not playing off of other superheroes).
I'd rather see more of the others, like in JLU.

The new Justice league seems to heavily focus on Batman. I guess that's what they think people want to see. (which is pretty much correct anyway)
