can somebody explain to me why the **** somebody would do a waterbirth, and somebody else explain why the **** the family would want pictures of that?

A waterbirth can be significantly easier on the female than traditional in stirrups.
It relaxes the muscles in hte area, and helps to pass the baby out. And it doesn't negatively affect the child because it is still using the umbilical cord for oxygen.

I never understood a waterbirth. Can't the baby drown that way?
User avatar #12 to #2 - Hyoukin (07/19/2013) [-]
No, as long at the umbilical cord is still attached, the baby is receiving oxygenated blood via the mother, and while underwater its lungs remain filled with amniotic fluid. That's why babies cry after birth, to expel the fluid they had been breathing in the womb, and adjust to breathing in the open air.
