Why in a plastic bag?

it might provide UV protection so the picture doesn't fade.

I absolutely love this, but one thing brought me incredible sadness:
"Mr Duke is now 77 but was 36 when he made his journey to the moon."
...this brave American made that fateful journey 40 years ago, and in that time, we have done JACK **** ...for Duke and all that he stood for, we as a civilization have to get space exploration back on track

Helium-3 mining, farside radio astronomy, low-gravity shipyards to build ships to get us to other places...there's a lot of good reasons

Call me stupid but isn't it supposed to float in space because there's no gravity on the Moon? A really derp moment for me lol.

For a moment, I thought "Surely it must be lost because of all the wind, right?"

Then I took a step back and realized what an idiot I was being, and now I must say that i agree with wheres. It would probably be damaged by the UV.

That's really going to freak a future astronaut out.

Chances are it's been bleached white by the UV radiation.

The Russians will probably throw it off. Because Russia.

What if some kind of body-less sentient being finds it in it's eternal quest to find physical form and morphs into a late 60's version of Armstrong's wife and blends into Human society?
