yeah nickleback really isnt that bad. i mean they do have some decent songs. i think its really just become more of a cultural thing to hate them honestly.

hasinvadedyou ONLINE (11/15/2014) [-] their songs are the reason i decided to jump on the bandwagon they were all very similar for a period of time. I might of liked one when i first heard them but with most popular music that gets over played the liking turned to contempt. Unfortunately for them, fact that a few of their songs sounded the same a few years ago which meant it took half thre time to get annoyed at them, combined with my stopping of listening to the radio after 2010~ meant i was unable to give them another chance because i havent heard any of their newer stuff. So their new songs probably arent the same but the fact is it was very much the same at a point. Which is enough for most people to cling onto, plus most modern man-bands dont make it in popularity. Even linkin park started to get hated after it did that transformer song and linkin park was the **** .

responses were 9/10 times theyre music was always the same, all sex drugs and partying, they never tried a different style. ok fair enough..
but then linkin park did do that and their albums after meteora were **** .
snoop dogg stopped rapping and got into RnB - **** .
marilyn manson did that. soft **** .
Metallica did that. roundly criticised for st. anger (which btw, rocked)
also, theyre a rock group. they sing about drugs drinking girls and parties. the **** do u want them to sing about? puppies!?
not a hardcore fan but i like them. some songs are **** (hate rockstar), some of their songs are great. my personal opinion is not everyone hates them but it got cool to diss them so everyone does. or maybe just noone really does like them anymore! curious what anyone else thinks..
