While we're on the topic of Craigslist ads, somebody showed me this recently.

Wow, that roommate is a dick. Also, I use DirecTV and the dvr has a smart feature that it automatically turns off after (4-5 hours).

This did not happen to the free tube monitor I had years ago, luckily it was just some family picture barely there and not something like in OP's post.

I got this on craigslist. Dude was like "Minor front end damage"
Yeeeah.
But it was totally worth it since I only bought it for parts anyways and it goes like a raped ape.

This is what happens when you give a farm kid internet access. I have several stupid terms like this.
I.E. "Tighter than a bull's ass in fly season."
Thank my dad for that one.

Oh ****, the angles threw me off. Nice ride.
I've got a 1994 Taurus SHO myself.
And a '63 Galaxie, '76 F250, '30 Model A, and a '95 Taurus that's my DD

My first car was an old ass Cadillac, I murdered that thing for six months before it met a truck and the truck won, lol.
A celica is worth it to, it's reliable and has decent resale value. SHO's are pretty much worthless. I bought mine just to put the drivetriain in to my '95 taurus, because the SHO's body is toast and my non-SHO is in solid shape

Here's my '95, I autocross with it during the summer, it's as fast as stock WRX's around more technical tracks. It's pretty much stock minus a full stereo (Pair of Alpine 10 inch subs that I can't remember the specs to, but they're 250 watt each and a 500W Rockford Fosgate amp) and a one-off catback exhaust. Sounds pretty mean for a Taurus.

And just for ***** and giggles, my SHO.

I dont race or anything, the fastest ive been in mine was 115 mph, but i got nervous and slowed down so idk how fast it can truly go. The subs are two 12" Sony Gs in a b-box. With a Sony amp, idk the model of the amp or the wattage, i forgot it. They have busted my friends left ear when he sat in the back while i turned them all the way up

My blue Taurus is good for about 115 too, did that on the highway back from my autocross event wit ha WRX and a Outback in front of me, but when I had to slam on the brakes I damn near died lol, was horrible. The SHO is good for about 140, but I've never taken it past 60-ish because it's not registered and well, it looks like this.

I'm careful when it comes to speeding. A red speeding sports car is more likely to get pulled over than a speeding family van to me.

Yeah, you've got that right. I live way out in the sticks though so generally I'm pretty safe. Plus, I mean, my car isn't that awful fast. Once the SHO motor is in though, it will be pretty serious. They do 0-60 in 6.6 in stock trim, after all

Either an intake or exhaust, simple to do (Intake is easier, but won't /sound/ as good as an exhaust would.) It's also a matter of budget. A good K&N Cold air intake would probably be 150+ bucks, whereas an axleback exhaust could be a couple hundred, with a catback (like mine) getting up in to the $800+- range.

Something like this would probably be closer to a grand, but it wouldn't necessarily have to be done all at once

Would ether of those increase speed/acceleration? Im sorry i know how to do basic repairs but i have no idea about anything else lol

Definitely, both would, by a little but noticeable amount. Both intake and exhaust helps the car breathe better, therefore it can move more air faster and it'll be quicker. Putting the catback in my car gave me noticeable power gains.
Another good one is to invest in good sport tires. They're a little pricey but they're miracle workers for handling and whatnot.

Thanks for the advice, I've been saving up. im ether get a paint job (My car got keyed on the passenger side all the way across) or get one of those. My clear coat is also starting to flake off

Paint might be a good idea first, take it to Maaco and see if you can just get the damaged area done. Won't be cheap, admittedly.
But then putting a little work in to performance stuff will really make it a lot of fun.

I recently went to a town near me to check out a nice car from a dude on craigslist. "The only problem with it is a little dint that you have to be up close to see". when we saw the car the ****** "little dint" was the size of a full grown midget. not to mention the guy looked like a junkie
