"Omg...America is so lame. I'm ashamed to live here."

Then leave, more America for the rest of us.

Because that is exactly what the founding fathers did when they didn't like the British rule, they said, " **** it" and bailed. Ran off and hid with their tails between their legs. Didn't try to stand up for their beliefs. Didn't try to fight for change. Didn't try to make anything better.

Nope. America is built on the idea that if you don't like the way things are, you should either shut up or run away.

It is every responsible American's duty to remind people of this fact any time they complain. Voicing your unhappiness with the country is unacceptable in the land of free speech.

sorry, i thought the sarcasm was obvious.
it pisses me off that any time someone says something negative about America, some asshole feels the need to say "If you don't like it, then leave!"
it's kind of annoying that they really seem to think that everything is perfect and anyone that disagrees doesn't deserve that perfection

Though most times people who say "love it or leave it" are douchebags, most of the time they're talking to whiny assholes who don't actually do anything about the things they're bitching about. They just continue to bitch about it and expect it to change on its own.

She's ashamed to live in America because we have an awesome ******* welcome sign. You could replace it with the Old Spice Man and make him tell visitors where to look and surprise them diamonds and suddenly start riding horses, and it might compare with that sign. If your problem is "My country is too awesome and not humble enough for me," then you picked a hell of a country to live in. Humble-land is up north, bro.

Nah it's just early, and I've seen a lot of dumb comments like that before. Carry On.

I'm from New Zealand and I say that whole "New Zealand is the free-est" thing is definitely a liberal's opinion.
