The lyrics about suicide and murder are real feelings he has, twisted though they might be, would you rather he killed someone instead of just singing about it? He's entitled to his own art, gruesome though it may.
Also he thinks people who kill other things are stupid and those who take his message as condoning violence/telling them to commit violence to be insanely stupid.
It's about expressing yourself, not going out on a rampage. I'm not a fan of it myself, but I don't approve of changing your message just because some people tell you to.

I don't like Manson personally because of his voice and because he over-states some of it. I don't care for songs that are literally just screeches to die over and over again.
