Eh it's not bad. A little small at times compared to Portland but it's got about everything big cities do. Malls, an alive albeit small downtown nightlife, a fair supply of concerts coming through. It's not what most people think when they think Idaho. It's cozy, sure. But honestly there's not much in bigger cities that isn't here.
Plus there's a pretty nice skiing/snowboarding place like an hour away in winter. As well as tons of rivers, lakes, mountains, and hunting areas if you're into that too.
It's no New York, Salt Lake, or Portland, but it's not ******* nowhere either.

The housing is also beyond affordable. You can easily get a 2000 sq ft house brand new for 200-250k. If you want something smaller they just get cheaper. It's not uncommon to see brand new 1000 sq ft houses to go for 120-150k.
