This is perfect! It's so thypical for movie trailers from the 90's! Just the little scene towards the end of the trailer, where Olaf says that cute, romantic line. That is something you can see in so many trailers!!

It's not a legit copy, The last movie released onto VHS was Borat...quite the sad fate for the legacy of VHS, but what ever. I've seen some movies afterwards get a special release on VHS, like House of the Devil.

I've seen places that sell pretty convincing copies that look legit, down to the silkscreen labeling that disney did near the end of VHS.

Quite frankly, I'd prefer to get a kid the VHS copy in lieu of the DVD.
User avatar #55 to #53 - darcandkharg (03/24/2014) [-]
"ifthat was", Extra emphasis on the if part.

Obviously it isn't a real copy but you know what'd be cool? if someone just made copies like that just to sell it, alot people would probably buy them for nostalgic reasons and just to have one.
User avatar #59 to #55 - thatguyontheright (03/24/2014) [-]

I wonder if its possible to pass mvies from blueray and dvds to vhs so I can further my plan into raising my children thinking humanity reached an impass in technology during the 90's and everything sort of stayed the same for a very long while and then one day come inside with my arms bundled in laptops, blueray players, and smartphons and yell "THEY DID AGAIN! Little funny story (I think it was funny). I went to a Salvation Army because my family is cheap and there was a ton of VHS' there. I looked for good finds and saw An American Tale and The Land Before Time. Psyched since my copies were lost, I purchased them and went home. Didn't check inside. Land Before Time was legit, An American Tale was the goddamn Special Edition VHS.

Not insanely relevant but the post is about VHS' and you mentioned Star Wars and I figured why not lil' story.
#222 to #217 - harleme (03/25/2014) [-]
My Nan had hundreds of VHS' with those types of films, it was like having my own Blockbusters when I was a kid. When she moved to Scotland, she gave them all away to a charity shop and I was crushed. Slowly expanding my collection to get them but its not the same as having the big ol' VHS' I'd loved.

Sorry, I know no-one cares but you're comment reminded me of That Sad Day.
User avatar #223 to #222 - arbyworks (03/25/2014) [-]
It's understandable; I had this video stand given from a local VHS store that closed in my hamlet and it had a decal of Goofy on it and was full of films I loved. When I was around 7 my parents got rid of it and a ton of VHS'. I check Salvation Army as often as I can for VHS' that I like or potential gems.
#224 to #223 - harleme (03/25/2014) [-]
I might have to start doing that, I really want The Water Babies and All Dogs Go To Heaven. Not the best films but they were my go to films when I was off school sick.
