Just curious do the English pronounce those words with a strong O sound?

Colour is pronounced cull-er here in the UK, and humour is pronounced hume-er.

Basically the 'our' part is pronounced like any ordinary 'er'.

I've got a friend from Pennsylvania that pronounces color as "keller". As in Helen Keller. Apparently that's a thing there.

Personally, I pronounce it as "Col-er". I'm from the southern parts of London. If that helps at all.

We actually don't pronounce words because then all the Jam and Cream would fall out of our mouth.

How you pronounce them really just depends where you are from in England, Scotland, Wales whatever - we don't all pronounce them the same way

That's a given; different areas different ways to say something. However how is it suppose to be pronounced? Flavor is pronounced the same way you pronounce or at the end. So in my mind it looks like the English says it with much more flare at the end as if you were to do a bad french accent.

Nah, I think the basic idea is pretty much the same - a lot of english accents lengthen the syllables at the end of words - especially ones with a vowel then r - so car would sound more like caah - with like, the a being like, a deep sound? this is really hard to explain haha

It's only really the North that does that the South doesn't so much
