CHINESE PEOPLE CAN READ MINDS!!!!!!!!!!!!
They can hear, and see what you're visually thinking.
THIS IS NOT A JOKE OR A MEME! This is the absolute complete truth!!!!!

Chinese people hide their mind reading abilities by a lot of them having completely expressionless faces so they don't accidentally show facial expressions when people think things they don't like, find funny, astonishing, etc, and Chinese people segregate so their not nearly as susceptible to that happening.
Chinese people also segregate, and are untalkative to avoid accidentally saying things that are similar to what people are thinking and going to say.

Try thinking, and visually picturing things that are as wild as you can when you are around Chinese people, and look for Chinese people who give people dirty/particular looks for what appears to be for completely no reason, it works when you try enough!!!

PLEASE SPREAD THE MESSAGE!!!!! THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW THIS!!!!!

This is powdered milk from my country, 25% fat content... uh, that part I don't know how to explain
User avatar #136 to #134 - cormy (10/16/2013) [-]
Ah that makes sense then. Usually things like this go by volume and when milk is powdered, the fat ends up taking more room than the solidified calcium and whatnot, which occupies barely any room once disolved in water. The fat itself won't dissolve at all, it'll just mix into it.

MFW the state governments are still running just fine in the U.S.

That's the problem with how people view the U.S.

It's not all about the Federal government. It's about the division of powers between the federal, state, and local governments.
#143 to #120 - schneidend (10/16/2013) [-]
> just fine

States are paying to keep some federally funded parks, organizations, and services operating, and that money is quickly running out. The CDC is largely furloughed and there is a salmonella outbreak in California right now.

States are paying to keep some federally funded parks, organizations, and services operating, and that money is quickly running out. The CDC is largely furloughed and there is a salmonella outbreak in California right now.

There's problems.
User avatar #165 to #143 - yuukoku (10/16/2013) [-]
Yeah, the federal government is supposed to run those because they're designed to be run by the federal government. States would have to seriously change if they wanted to fund parks and services like that. That's why they're called national parks or federal services. However, if we want to speak hypothetically, all the states could run themselves by reforming their own taxation systems and creating all their own parks and services, though that would essentially break up the United States and just lead into disaster.

Yes, I get that it can't stay this way forever because the State and Federal governments are supposed to work together to run the country upholding their own separate parts. However, State government is still a huge part of the governmental system in that it is closer to the general population of the area, ultimately bending to their will, whereas a government that is only run under a single government cannot maintain itself if it spreads itself out too thin. That's why China had a bureaucracy while they were an Empire. The same thing goes for the United States; we administrate ourselves between local, state, and federal governments, though all governments are still interconnected.
User avatar #166 to #165 - schneidend (10/16/2013) [-]
Hypothetically, we could invent a car powered by garbage. Unfortunately, this is not Doc Brown's garage.

States have to pick up the slack and pay to keep parks open so the businesses that depend on those parks and the tourism they bring in to stay in business. Just saying that if things were different the stats could theoretically afford to do this does not mean that there are not real, immediate consequences affecting our economy RIGHT NOW.

Besides, I find a state's ability to fund these things on its own highly dubious without some serious taxes. Federal money comes from every state. There's simply more of it to go around. Also, the larger national parks exist in multiple states at once.
User avatar #167 to #166 - yuukoku (10/16/2013) [-]
Which is why it's only hypothetical (I also meant that national parks would be dismantled and the states would set their own parks for their own governments. I understand that some of them cross state boundaries) . We need to allow the federal government to do their thing and I understand that leaving everything to the state governments cannot continue for much longer.

Look, all I was trying to say is that people shouldn't see the federal government as the one and only all-powerful government in the U.S.

User avatar #80 to #79 - slendermanspenis (10/16/2013) [-]

User avatar #82 to #80 - smokingman (10/16/2013) [-]

User avatar #90 to #89 - smokingman (10/16/2013) [-]
Soooo?
What'll happen?
What's the worst thing that can happen?

User avatar #145 to #90 - schneidend (10/16/2013) [-]
Well, Chinese business interests and the head of the IMF are talking a lot about working to make America less integral to economies around the world, essentially making the country less powerful, wealthy, and important at a critical time of recovery.
User avatar #91 to #90 - Kingsteveooo (10/16/2013) [-]
For starters, the military will stop being paid, so there is a very good possibility of an invasion.
Without money coming in, banks will default, any and all government owned or run anything will shut down (which includes the police you mentioned earlier)
In all honesty, nobody knows what will happen because 1. America hasn't defaulted in over 200 years, and 2. No country has ever built up as much debt as the United States currently has. But it is enough that Europe building up relations with Asia.
User avatar #94 to #91 - smokingman (10/16/2013) [-]
Yep, and the government will allow that to happen.
Oh come on, do you really think that a bunch of men in power will quit their positions over a budget disagreement?

Do you really think that the military apparatus will be disbanded so easily?
That the government will willingly abandon high-grade military assets because of a budget issue?

"A very good possibility of an invasion."
Well that's ******** . By whom?
Do you really think that there is any chance of an invasion on USA land, what with the UN and all of that?
Who the **** would do that, and why?

Come on, you're being paranoid.
User avatar #95 to #94 - Kingsteveooo (10/16/2013) [-]
No im being realistic, but go on and keep believing that your government has your best intentions in mind, and that nobody in power is paid off. I wish i could see things in your view, but my head cant quite fit that far up my ass. Have a good one eh.
User avatar #96 to #95 - smokingman (10/16/2013) [-]
