In China, when you are born, you are already 9 months old. They count age as the time of conception.

Err... false. In China, no matter which day of the year you're born on, your first birthday is New Year's Day. That's why Chinese New Year is such a big deal, it's everyone's birthday. Of course, individual families celebrate their relatives' actual birth dates. But to the state, everyone's considered another year older on New Years Day.

Surely Birthdays would just become a macabre reminder that on this exact day, however many years ago, your parents had filthy rambunctious sex.
