One of the many reasons to live in Canada. Not as good as our beer and bacon, but still good.

I really don't get why the US sticks to paper money so badly.

For instance, we had a bit of a counterfeiting problem back in the late '90s and early 2000s over here.
Then bam. Plastic money. Killed the moneymakers since how the **** do you even start trying to replicate textured plastic with multiple transparency elements and embosses?
They don't get wet, they don't crinkle, and if they do get a tear in them, more often than not cleaning the area and applying some clear tape over it will make it as good as new.

Yes they do on the sides, also if you leave them in your pocket when you put them in the washer/dryer they melt.

How can maple syrup be real if Canada isn't real
User avatar #65 - Loppytaffy (07/27/2014) [+] (8 replies)
Too bad the leaf on it is a Norweigan maple (an invasive species), not a Canadian sugar maple.

So american Money is not waterproof?
#42 to #16 - memenoob ONLINE (07/27/2014) [-]
It can become a bit soggy and will definitely tear if you tear it yourself, but it wont just begin to fall apart if wet like normal paper, and can be dried rather easily.

Actually, nearly all money is waterproof, since very little paper money is literally paper, most of it is fabric
User avatar #197 - RomanR (07/28/2014) [+] (2 replies)

Wait... America doesn't have waterproof money? Even in New Zealand it's like that. You can't even rip NZ money without scissors or something, is American money made of crappy paper or something?
#174 to #172 - someoneforamoment (07/27/2014) [-]
cotton. But now it's costing more to make because of the popularity of stretch pants.

Try the more northern parts of canada, if you're into scenery you will almost definitely blow several loads on the drive there alone.
