Then you would definitely need a needle since it would take quite a lot of pressure for liquid to be able to pierce your skull.

Yes, but when the needle get pass the skull it would be dangerous to try to put the needle in the brain, so maybe a needle/high pressure device hybrid.

I don't see how that would be any less dangerous than to pump high pressure liquid into his brain, you're still piercing his brain.

Good point, but that's just an example. It's stills does less damage then a needle. You might be right that the use is just to be pain free, I don't know much in this subject.
