Has anyone else realized that the reason there are no time travelers is that: if someone invented a time machine in order to change the past, if they changed the past then the time machine wouldn't need to be created so it wouldn't have been made, so the past couldn't have been changed in the first place....

My theory is that if one would go back in time, it would change the future, even if they did very little. Since our time line would be different (even very slightly) from that time line, it would create another time line, parallel to ours. It is impossible to enter an already existing universe, only copy a universe and change it from there. There could be millions of universes created by time travelers for all we know.

No it don't work like that.

Monday is The international standard for the first day of the week.

Sunday is the cultural and historic first day of the week.

Monday actually means in many languages : the second day.

You can't just go in to the past and change something, You're not even a time lord! OR maybe you are in which case( even if you're not) you're interfering with events It's strictly forbidden. Cheap trciks, yes, but not this! There will be people alive in the universe who wasn’t alive before, and this can cause unforeseen problems in the universe. So don't do anything stupid.

the problem with backwards time travel is the paradoxes for example if someone went back in time and killed Hitler and if this causes WWII to not occur, this means the character in the future now has no reason to go back to change time, meaning he doesn't go back to change time, meaning Hitler is not assassinated, meaning WWII does occur, meaning the character has to go back and assassinate Hitler, and so on.

you're thinking of it to linearly though. do not imagine time as a force of nature that everyone does. we made it up. It is merely something humans made to measure the movement of everything technically. And if you look at it in that light then the possibility of time travel becomes much more achievable because you're not traveling through this force of nature thus disrupting the fabric of space and ripping the universe a new one. you're merely reversing the movements of all the atoms and particles in the universe to an exact spot they where once in, without doing so to yourself, so that you're the same but in a way everything went back in "time". so you're merely moving to a different location. i could go into detail but it'd take forever and i don't want to bore everybody. sorry for the long toast!

Traveling back in time to change events doesn't necessarily result in a paradox; if you're a proponent of the multiple universe theory, you simply create a branch of reality that conforms to your changes. Say, if you kill Hitler's mother (though she didn't do anything wrong, let's go with that) before little Adolf was born, WWII might not have happened; on the other hand, who knows what would have?

Basically, it's like Trunks in DBZ.

The multiple reality theory, I thought of something similar to it when I was around six. I also somehow predicted Hidan's blood power when it was still in the Chunin exam. I seem to be able to predict thing from my future. Perhaps I am being told thing by future me.

lol i didn't watch them in a row but i didn't get confused... though I've had a decent grasp of paradoxical realities for a while. to me it was either the universe ends, or reality changes. which makes the Schrodinger cat theory make more sense. also when i watch movies i settle for a kind of "**** logic" ideology.

well actually Schrodinger's cat actually provides a solid basis for the avoidance of such a paradox. the theory suggests that if at any moment something is not being observed or measured, then it is all possibilities at once. (say you turn away from a ball, then since it's not being measured it's stayed still, rolled away, pops quietly, and disappeared all together.) then when you turn to observe it all quantum possibilities collapse into a reality. so in application to paradox, there are multiple realities where quantum reality could collapse into the death of Hitler, thereby changing reality without need of the initial causation for the journey. (and yes the theory has been proven to work in quantum mechanics. where if something isn't being observed then by definition it is all possible answers at once.)

The multiverse theory: you travel back in time, the "World line" as we call it splits in 2

the universe you left is one
the universe you enter is the other.

He posted this just now. The last one I saw posted this several months ago.

But what you don't know is, technically, this one was posted first and is the OC. The reposter took this, went back in time, and posted it "before" this guy.

So THIS is the OC and the older one is the repost.
