I'm a vegan, but just because I want to be, I don't really care about the pigs and stuff.
But it'd be nice if they didn't have to be killed or whatever, but I think even people who eat meat agree with that.

Finally a Vegan that isnt a daft fucking hippy. I dont need to go in to how animals eat other animals. Thankfully in England most of our farming is done on fair trade and with higher standards for livestock.

Just because animals are treated better here in England does not mean they are treated acceptably. And also what do you mean? Although not daft I am certainly a hippie!

What i mean is most vegans think that killing an animal is murder, even though murder is defined as one human killing another. you are one of the first to admit that you dont eat meat because you disagree with the way animals are treated. while i dont share your view, i can respect it.
I will say that PETA is a waste of time. they are full of bullshit and you would be better starting a campaign on your own than joining theirs.
Also Free range food while more expensive are normally not battery farmed or anything like that. you will need to shop around but it is possible to find farms that treat their livestock well

I agree, PETA are some complete doucheheads, however, they are good (and bad, because of their deserved bad reputation) in the way they make veganism more popular in the mainstream.

I don't reallt give a shit about all their pop-culture "name changing" business. To me, it just seems like a waste of time. I'm talking about their animal shelters. They have animal shelters for abandoned dogs and cats etc. and instead of finding the majority of them homes, they put down an obnoxious number of healthy dogs and cats.

First of, they are not treated humanely. If you honestly believe so, then stop eating meat, because that is wrong. Also, humans aren't omnivorous. Ever wondered why we don't eat raw meat?
