no anyone wondering, that' s not true, 1) Earth' s orbit
is elliptical and the distance from the sun varies from around 14? million
kilometers to 152 million kilometers on any given year. star has
a habitable zone that is affected by the size of the star and its intensity.
The Sun' s habitable zone is about . 05 AU to 1. 3? AU, An AU is the
Earth' s average distance from the Sun, 93 million miles, so Earth' s orbit
could decrease by 4, 500, 000 miles or increase by 34, 000, 000 miles and
still be in the habitable zone. It If your claim was true any moderately
sized earthquake could take us out of the habitable zone. sorry.

I'm a Christian and even I think these guys are ******* retarded.

This is why I keep God and all that to myself.

And yet you just told us all that you're a christian, nice job on keeping that to yourself. :)

yeah how dare he make a comment about his opinion whilst simultaneously avoiding stereotypical prejudice by allowing us enough information to understand his personal mindframe

His religious affiliation has nothing to do with the content. So yes, stating that he was a christian was contradictory to his statement, and no it didn't offer anything in regards to his point of view.

actually it does. if he didn't point out that he was a christian, many people would believe he was an athiest who was making fun of christians. he didn't want people to wrongly accuse him of slandering those with whom he shares similar beliefs.

And it wasn't contradictory, he was simply mentioning it. it would be contradictory if he said "I'm a christian, but i think christianity is incorrect"

so yeah

take that

People who deny due criticism only wish to live looking like they know what they're doing, and die not knowing a thing.

They're both idiots. Earthquakes can't change the earth's orbit. There needs to be interaction with another object. If there didn't need to be interaction with other objects, then probes would never use things lik ion engines and would instead just use some sort of pendulum effect to swing their way into different orbits.

That said, there are many other effects that would take us out of the BS "habitable zone," as there are many interactions with many other objects. A few of those meteors might do it.

The earthquake in Japan caused the earth to shift on its axis slightly.

A massive earthquake could potentially cause enough momentum to cause a shift of at least ten feet in relative space. We're not talking a hundred miles here.
