now this might sound kinda stupid as i am just pulling video games into real life but in runescape the value of the gold coin has gone down so much where the rare items such as the party hats that were 20m at one point are now 2 billion+ on almost every one of them and making money is easier in the game also

now i feel the same is happening in the world as the pay for medium wayage jobs is going up and like the price on most stuff in norway chas gone up substantially in my 18 years of life... i remember when a 1,5l soda cost 15 kroners (about 3 dollars) but now they are about 10 kroners more expensive

though our pay at an entry level job is about a little over 200k a year and that is over 40 000 dollars

now again any jobs like welders carpenters mechanic and such will bring in about 400k high end for at least welders

runescape lacks alot of economic principles .___. it has no regulation...of anything...it just inflates...Wages go up, price of living goes up, and everything goes up because our resources aren't infinite. If we had another planet with resources on it and it was accessible everything on earth would be half the price it is now. The real world we have the government and banks that control inflation by manipulating reserves, mint, and other **** that I forgot myself lol. Its a basic principle that with all else equal, there will always be inflation and deflation of money and its a good thing to have this. Without a little inflation we kind of go backwards. Don't ask how because I seriously can not remember. But yea basically runescape isn't a complicated economic market system...its medieval times on a computer and it happens to every mmorpg (ex. maplestory).

causing everyone to become richer with alot more trade at market prices resulting in higher prices for the very common but not produced so much goods like bread quadropoling in price where as goods that are produced alot more like armour become alot cheaper but alot more easier to produce, also with the welthier people of rs people look for more expensive goods to feel better that their line of binary is better than your sword
(i am in my second year of learning economics)

Pretty much, don't remember how many days I wasted away on that game. I'm tempted to go look at the website right now and see how it's doing.

I don't think I'll pick it up again, I'm really addicted to World of Tanks and War Thunder at the moment.
