I literally went through every comment on this post. Everyone is sharing in a nihilistic view of the world, our future as a race, all the way down to our own individual existences. This **** is ******* scary, but I want anyone reading this to stop for just a ******* second. Perceived limitations are arguably the greatest threats mankind has ever known. You think you can't, and you won't. This entire gif is simply a projection of the future of the cosmos based on what we know in this given instant. However, I'm not saying that this isn't possible. In fact, I still don't understand entropy.

Regardless, by letting the nihilism and seeming futility in all action that this post is radiating sink in to ourselves, we are committing a logical fallacy wherein, because of what we've observed right now, we assume that this gif is actually the end, our end. What we've really done is that we've convinced ourselves that what we've observed, the parts, form to make a cohesive entity, the whole. In short, we now believe that what is true for the parts must also be true for the whole, which is in fact, not always true. This would fall under the post hoc fallacy for anyone interested in looking that up. For those who don't it roughly means, "After this, therefore because of this".

I'm going to go out and white knight a bit here, but listen. Courage does not mean you aren't afarid. True courage means you stand up in the face of fear, and overcome. So yes, if this gif is true, our future is bleak as **** . But now that we've seen a glimpse of what could be, why the hell are we all sitting around and doing nothing? "I can't do this or that. I was born in the wrong time". Let me remind you that every great inventor and person in history looked at a perceived impossibility and said, "I can make it work". You think you can, and you don't stop until you do.

So get up off your ass, and invest in research. Hell, you could even ******* contribute to it.
