That's just a bit slower than light, it took 2 seconds to reach the Moon form Earth. It takes light 1.3 seconds. Just saiyan

i feel like it should be faster...

It wasn't so much speed of light when the gif kept loading. Just sayin'!

....i like a travel
User avatar #26 - emptysuperman ONLINE (10/24/2012) [-]
Not light speed. Light can travel around the Earth 11 times in 1 second (or something like that, just remembering off the top of my head), this doesn't seem even close.

the distance from the moon to earth is 240,000 miles, the circumference of earth is 24,000 miles. It's light speed.
User avatar #30 to #28 - emptysuperman ONLINE (10/24/2012) [-]
Really? Makes sense I guess. Does seem like it would be faster.

If you were to move at the speed of light all you would see is the building until you stopped.
User avatar #24 to #10 - anonymoose ONLINE (10/24/2012) [-]
If you went the speed of light, you'd be breaking a universal law and so what you would see isn't definite as it's not a possibility.
User avatar #13 to #10 - silasdg (10/24/2012) [-]
Hmm. Good point I wonder if it's true.

Sits you don't actually see the building you only see the light reflecting off of it I wonder if it's possible to move in the opposite direction of the light you're viewing. Would this result in seeing the future or seeing black?

Light travels at 186,000 miles per second, and the distance from Earth to the Moon is 238,900 miles. 238,900 รท 186,000 = 1.2844086 seconds to travel from Earth to the Moon. BITCHES
User avatar #23 - anonymoose ONLINE (10/24/2012) [-]
Too bad that wasn't a linear speed.
User avatar #17 - symustafa (10/24/2012) [-]
can someone reverse this?
User avatar #9 - anondude (10/24/2012) [-]
So, we are 2 seconds of light travel away from the moon. Nice to know
#15 to #9 - doggstar (10/24/2012) [-]
we're appropriately 8 minutes of light travel from the sun
