In China, fourteen pandas that were artificially bred were introduced to the world for the first time. The babies come from a conservation facility, dedicated to preserving the giant panda.

If you’d like to keep an eye on these little guys for yourself, they are on a 24 hour panda cam, which you can view here: live.ipanda.com/

"Artificially bred"? Like cloned or..?
User avatar #42 to #40 - graydiggy (09/27/2013) [-]
Not cloned. Test tube panda cubs. They used the goods from both a male and female. The babies were mass produced . It is much faster than depending on the parents to do it themselves.

Once artificial breeding becomes easy enough, do you think pandas will become the next sea monkeys?

I honestly do not give two ***** about pandas.
They can go extinct for all i care, species that specialize in eating one food source go extinct all the time, the fact that these non sexual fat stupid bears are still around is a baffling mystery in the first place, trying to save them is like trying to save retarded people who live on asparagus.
User avatar #67 to #65 - roflcopterkklol **User deleted account** (09/27/2013) [-]
I just do not see what is so exciting about a species that would have gone extinct without our help.

Why did I just waste 10 minutes watching a panda eat?

I get that people want to preserve the panda species, I really do. They're cute, they're cuddly, and they had been hunted to near extinction in the past hundred years or so, and had had much of their natural environment taken from them. But, like the bald eagle, the American symbol, they just don't contribute that much to the ecosystem. Can someone please explain to me why people are spending millions to billions of dollars on this species simply for the fact that they can?
