Chances are, you've been hit by lighting multiple times while in flight.
Thanks to the fact that planes are made of aluminum, all surges of electrical power coming from a source such as lightning are safely channeled out through static wicks on the wings.

If your plane were to be hit by lightning, you would here a slight thud, a possibly the slightest of jolts.

You have no idea how safe planes are.

As a pilot, I can tell you. That still ******* sucks. Try flying a plane blind for 2-10 minutes.

This annoys me when people get electrocuted in a cage in films or TVs. Was watching something the other day and it happened, can't remember which TV/Film it was; that's going to annoy me for the rest of the day.

Also, if it doesn't start a fire or fry the equipment, shouldn't you be fine since there's nothing linking you to the ground?
