Not true: Mercury has an exosphere but no atmosphere. It probably did at some point, but it has since been lost due to it's size and proximity to the Sun. In fact it would actually take longer to cook the pizza on Mercury than on Venus (even though it is closer to the Sun) because it doesn't have an atmosphere.
