"Engineers get inspired about robotics thanks to sea-horses' armour"
Engineer 1: "Dude, I'm supposed to be building robots but I cant think of any ideas"
Engineer 2: "oh man, I know. I lack so much inspiration..."
*suddenly, the armour of a sea horse falls out of the sky*
Sea horse Armour: "build robots or I'll cut you"
Engineer 1: "...lets go build robots..."

Does this mean that, if we can gather enough materials, we could make an elevator to space?

Antimatter is destroyed when it comes into contact with matter. You would have to be able to make a person or elevator car float inside the antimatter elevator, and if we had that technology, you could just be floated to space without the antimatter elevator.

The idea is that it's literally what it sounds like, the opposite of matter.
I've been told it has negative weight, dimensions, and flows backwards through time. Cool, huh?
