NML Cygni has a larger radius than our solar system, and VY Canis Majoris would eat Jupiter.

oh. it will never get that close, but I would say within 10-20 AU's. Astronomy is not my strong suit, but that is one big-ass star. you could probably google it, though.

maybe it doesn't even need to be in our solar system for that to happen
