the order that they show the planets in is the worst kind of order.

I find it very logical.

This is for size comparison, and they went from small to big.

I see no problem.

all of the planets would collide with us if they were that close, except maybe mercury.

No it wouldn't. The distance between earth and the moon is photoshopped in every image you've ever seen probably. It's an incredible distance away. Unfortunately these photos could never truly take place unless Earth was the moon of one of the larger planets.

Proportionally, Uranus looks about as big in this picture as the picture of Earth from the moon. Does that mean that the size of Earth relative to Uranus is about the same as the size of the moon relative to Earth?
#101 to #88 - zecken (07/15/2014) [-]
well it is actuall like this... Comparing the radii earth is around 3.7 timess bigger than moon (6370/1700=~3.7), Neptun's radius is ~24620 so the ratio is 24620/6370=3,66. If this was a wild guess it was damn good.

Can someome add in "you're mom" at the end and have it take up the entire sky?
User avatar #29 to #28 - presidentmoose (07/15/2014) [-]
I'd rather see Patrick edited into it

Can sciencexplain or anyone explain to me why we don't actually see these planets
User avatar #26 to #25 - presidentmoose (07/15/2014) [-]
You can still see some of the planets with you're naked eye at night time

The amount of distance to the closest planet is so great that even the size of the planet doesn't matter

Although, with a good set of binoculars, you can see Jupiter and 4 of its moons
