Free radicals are not radio active. Free radicals are similar to ions. When a covalent bond breaks, free radicals are formed. When an electrovalent bond breaks, it forms ions.
Both ions & free radicals are highly reactive.
In very high temperature and/or pressure, O-O (Oxygen-Oxygen) covanlet bonds break forming highly reactive (O) free radicals known as nascent Oxygen.
I'm not sure where the applications are, but even if there aren't applications, that doesn't justify your initial claim that it doesn't exist.
By deviating from the point in question, you aren't proving anything.

Well put anon, but never will a stable oxygen atom be lonesome. Much like hydrogen, fluorine, bromine, chlorine, iodine, and nitrogen. However a half-life atom like that would probably exist, but wouldn't be used scientifically in any real manner.
