Yes and no, Asperger's doesn't automatically make you smart, it changes the way the human brain processes information. Simply put it makes you think more like a computer, emphasizing rationality.
This means it's easier for the brain to focus on tasks set parameters, whilst reducing your capability of performing tasks that require fluid thought processes, such as socializing. Now while this means that as long as you understand a task, you can perform better at it, it also makes it harder to understand tasks as it reduces your ability to read between the lines and catch up on things that aren't explained black on white.
