Correct me if i'm wrong. The goosebumps are actually/also an involuntary response the brain controls when the hypothalamus (Temperature regulator) detects your body temperature has fallen below 37 degrees celcius.

The goosebumps/hair erector muscles then contract making the hairs stick up as a form of insulation to bring our temperature back up.
