You can't just "create" soil by doing this, the plants grow, use nutrients from the soil, die, decompose and return their nutrients to the soil, and then grow again. No new soil is being made, it's a cycle. Ever heard of the carbon/nitrogen/water cycle? That's what this represents. Now go back to the 5th grade.

It started out with just as much soil as you see in the picture, and it started with the same amount of plants. If you put a seed with a tiny amount of soil in a bottle, it won't just magically produce soil. That's fucking stupid.

Yes, I will admit I was wrong, and it DID start with one seed, but that seed USED THE NUTRIENTS FROM THE SOIL to reproduce, died, and then decomposed to RETURN THE NUTRIENTS TO THE SOIL. No soil is magically being made, it's the fucking carbon cycle.
