Soon the soil will full up to the top smothering the plants... And everything will die.
User avatar #149 to #145 - walcorn ONLINE (01/27/2013) [-]
how do you get mass from nothing?
#193 to #149 - catzombie (01/27/2013) [-]
It started out as one plant and a bit of soil, and now become this. It's clearly expanding. I don't know how, but it just does, and it'll soon fill up.
User avatar #321 to #193 - fireyvoidence (01/27/2013) [-]
It started just as it looks like you dumbshit. He didn't start out with a tiny bit of soil and a tiny plant, he started with just the amount of soil, water, and plant as you see now. You can't just "create" soil by doing this, the plants grow, use nutrients from the soil, die, decompose and return their nutrients to the soil, and then grow again. No new soil is being made, it's a cycle. Ever heard of the carbon/nitrogen/water cycle? That's what this represents. Now go back to the 5th grade.
#345 to #321 - catzombie (01/27/2013) [-]
No, it started out as one small plant and only a little bit of soil.
User avatar #454 to #345 - fireyvoidence (01/28/2013) [-]
How ignorant are you?
Go to bed, kid
#456 to #454 - catzombie (01/28/2013) [-]
No, it started out as one small plant and only a little bit of soil...
User avatar #457 to #456 - fireyvoidence (01/28/2013) [-]
No, it didn't. Don't you know ANYTHING? Mass can neither be created nor destroyed, meaning that in a closed, isolated ecosystem, as shown, soil can't just magically appear. It started out with just as much soil as you see in the picture, and it started with the same amount of plants. If you put a seed with a tiny amount of soil in a bottle, it won't just magically produce soil. That's fucking stupid.
#458 to #457 - catzombie (01/28/2013) [-]
Dude... it started with little soil. Leaves grew, died, and rotted to create more soil. Ta fucking da
User avatar #460 to #458 - fireyvoidence (01/28/2013) [-]
The dead leaves didn't die and then become soil, they DECOMPOSED and returned NUTRIENTS to the soil. Where in the paragraph does it say it started with a tiny amount of soil? Yes, I will admit I was wrong, and it DID start with one seed, but that seed USED THE NUTRIENTS FROM THE SOIL to reproduce, died, and then decomposed to RETURN THE NUTRIENTS TO THE SOIL. No soil is magically being made, it's the fucking carbon cycle.
#461 to #460 - catzombie (01/28/2013) [-]
Lol carbon cycle.
I bet the dude started it with nothing. Just a vacuum and it just caused shit to happen spontaneously like the big bang.
User avatar #462 to #461 - fireyvoidence (01/28/2013) [-]
If you TRULY think that, than you are the most stubborn, ignorant piece of waste the earth has ever seen. I truly hope that you don't breed.
#463 to #462 - catzombie (01/28/2013) [-]
Just sayin, in the forest the ground gets higher by 3 feet ever 100 years from the dead leaves falling and turning into soil.

Im the smarterest person here.
User avatar #464 to #463 - fireyvoidence (01/28/2013) [-]
Who told you that? Your mom? Your friend who knows everything?

Jesus fucking christ I can't handle the stupidity anymore.

Lols documentary by smart peoples

Listen, kid, go to bed. Its time to stop talking to grown ups
User avatar #466 to #465 - fireyvoidence (01/28/2013) [-]
Says the one who thinks soil can magically conjure itself in an isolated ecosystem to the point where it actually breaks the glass.
Plus, I love how you have to use my insult. You're so original.
Plus plus, if the forest grows 3 feet every 100 years from magic self-producing soil, than considering that the earth is billions of years old (I know it's forests are younger), than why is the earth not bigger than fucking Jupiter by now?
Plus plus plus, "Lols documentary by smart peoples" is the least valid point I've ever heard. Reread everything you've posted so far and tell me that again you arrogant cunt.
#467 to #466 - catzombie (01/28/2013) [-]
why is the earth not bigger than fucking Jupiter by now?

You can NOT be this dumb. Its called technonic plates.
User avatar #468 to #467 - fireyvoidence (01/28/2013) [-]
1- Did you even read what I wrote? You missed my point ENTIRELY.

2 - When I said, "Why isn't the earth bigger than Jupiter", I mean that when using your invalid point that forests grow 3 feet every year, the earth should have so much soil that it should be bigger than jupiter considering that the earth has been around for 4 trillion something years. I know that the earth shouldn't be bigger than Jupiter, I was just using that to point out that the fact you gave me is completely false and invalid.

3 - You're calling me dumb when you're constantly saying the soil magically fucking reproduces itself from nothing. You're. Retarded.

4 - What the fuck does TECTONIC PLATES have to do with ANYTHING? Did you hear that in your 5th grade science class and you wanted to bring up tectonic plates to sound smart? You're making an ass of yourself.

I'm done arguing with you. It's just like trying to convince my 3 year old cousin she's wrong. Pointless. Anything you say will further prove my point that you're an ignorant, stubborn, arrogant, close-minded prick.

You really need some education dont you?
User avatar #198 to #193 - walcorn ONLINE (01/27/2013) [-]
It doesn't fill up, the dirt is just not as dense, so it looks like it's more of it
#208 to #198 - catzombie (01/27/2013) [-]
I know you can't get mass from nothing. But where did all that shit come from?
User avatar #210 to #208 - walcorn ONLINE (01/27/2013) [-]
Rotting leaves
#214 to #210 - catzombie (01/27/2013) [-]
And the alive leaves?
User avatar #217 to #214 - walcorn ONLINE (01/27/2013) [-]
they fall off as they die
#218 to #217 - catzombie (01/27/2013) [-]
and the whole thing just grows and expands until they overcrowd...

If nothing can get inside the bottle, how should it fill up?
#190 to #148 - catzombie (01/27/2013) [-]
lel, you tell me. It started out with one plant.
User avatar #472 to #190 - texassharpshooter (01/28/2013) [-]
fine, tell me your fairy tale
#473 to #472 - catzombie (01/28/2013) [-]
How is it a fairy tale?
User avatar #478 to #473 - texassharpshooter (01/28/2013) [-]
because there must be magic involved, if nothing could get inside the bottle, and if it filled up, where would the soil come from? As i said: there had to be magic, therefore it is a fairy tale
#479 to #478 - catzombie (01/28/2013) [-]
No no no haha. The plant grew, and leaves dropped, rotted, and made more soil...
User avatar #483 to #479 - texassharpshooter (01/28/2013) [-]
No, let me explain it this way: take a closed jar of stones, wait one or two days, then count them. The amount will still be the same as it was, when you filled them in; what do you think is the plant made of? Not of nothing, that's for sure please be a troll
#484 to #483 - catzombie (01/29/2013) [-]
It's been 40 years man... he waited 40 years.
