I'm a Christian (inb4 hate) and I don't agree with this .gif, but I sat here for ten fucking minutes watching just because I think it looks badass

I don't see how you can't agree with the theory of evolution. I'm a catholic (albeit not a particularly devout one) yet I can still agree with theories like the big bang and evolution.

I just personally can't picture something happening for literally no reason with no creator behind it. I don't really believe in the Christian god, it's just the kind of home I was raised in, but I guess I'm more agnostic.

keep in mind the incomprehensibly long period of time random movement had to create the first strands of RNA and nuclei, after that it's self replicating and continues on to where we are now. the earth is 4 billion years old and life is assumed to be 3 billion, so there's 1 billion years over which constant chemical reactions had to create 1 specific combination. and who's to say life originated on earth? it's totally plausible the required molecules arrived by asteroid

We're on the opposite side of the same coin, i don't see the reason behind a God.

Fair enough, it does seem somewhat logical that everything was created and put in its place by some sort of supreme being; it makes much more sense than a bunch of random elements collided together in just the right way so that they could replicate in a way that was conducive to life then that life weeds out the weaker organisms by having the better organisms outcompete them over hundreds of millions of years to the point where a bunch of hairless apes are the dominant species on the planet.
At the end of the day though if you don't need to believe something then you don't have to and you can believe what you wish, you certainly don't need to believe in evolution just as much as you have to believe in God (or not believe in God) though it would serve you well to know what it is.
