Would you rather the senate be made up of lawyers who only care about what they can do for themselves with their power without getting into trouble? Im not saying all Senators and lawyers and businessmen are cutthroat monsters only out for themselves, but DeGrasse has a point. There is not a single representative of the scientific community on the Senate, yet the Senate is supposed to make informed decisions about things that often include scientific studies.

If you've ever sat down with one, and asked what a scientist does, they will tell you,
