what about the annoyances of touch screen keyboards, i cant tell if i have touched it if the speaker is off. what about REAL games? can it run skyrim for what im shelling out for it? and what about expansion, do i need a stupid dock like on a macbook air?
neat idea, i wouldn't buy one is all.

no tablet processor could run that, what im seeing on ipads is a resemblance of cod4 at minimum settings. if im going to pay over $1000 for a device like this, i want it to play new stuff on the big screen, but since it is running of the tablet processor and designed to save power, it cant do that, it will never do that. i am a little fed up with Microsoft and apple thinking gaming=farmville.

You saying a tablet processor would never run that is like saying we'll never be able to reach the moon. Oh wait.
This isn't even a prototype, it's a computer generated mock up of an idea. You can't know what specs it will have.

i misspoke, what i meant is that the estimate for tablets and pc's to have a comparable processor is still a ways off and it will be made longer by the fact that both have to obey the same rules in technological advancements. i know it is not a prototype, i was just pointing out flaws in it. it is apparent we will not have this kind of power in this form factor by 2014. in laptops? maybe.
i am sorry for my harsh and slightly misguided comment, i was just expressing my opinion on a conceptual idea.

I think you're way behind, champ... I have a 2 year old laptop that runs Crysis. Albeit on medium, but that's 2 years ago. Laptops are on par with PC's, although they're not upgradable, which I find that to be their biggest downfall obviously. 2014 isn't that far away, so having tablets running high demanding games isn't that far fetched, they run some pretty nice looking games right now, imo. Of course, not perfect.
I feel the feels you have, but try to be a little more optimistic about our advancements in technology. :D Afterall, I've lost all hope in humanity, all I have left is technology.

laptops may be on par, but at nearly twice the cost, that is my problem with them (ironic considering im on one now), i mean sure my computer can run crysis, but it has a cooling problem and is honestly not that fast with it despite how much i paid (950). it isnt that i think tablets cant play games, but they are a ways behind, you dont see too many ipads playing portal 2.
im not saying never, but 12 gb/s ssd's at 500 gb for a reasonable price seem a bit out there, maybe we will have them maybe we wont, i cant tell the future.

Oh yeah, man it's cool. I mean, PC's will always be at the forefront of technology. And that trickles down to laptops and tablets, etc.
Shit, I even remember my first comp, 333mhz 25mb ram and 20gb HDD. Now it's a quad core 3.5ghz, 8gb ram with 1.25 terabytes worth of space.
Technology is fun.
