>water levels in video games
>murky water in video games
>open water, both above and below the surface in video games

All of these things terrify me, but I'm completely cool with swimming out into the middle of a lake IRL.

Swimming in the middle of a lake at midnight feels so good, specially if the sky is clear at the time and you are away from human settlements, it is like swimming in space with star's reflection on the lake.

Fangtooth fish " rarely a threat to humans " living 3000+ feet below the surface I doubt it's going to be any threat to humans .

They actually live at about 16,000 ft below the surface, but there have been documented fatalities by those little bastards. That's why I used the word rarely

If you think about it though, that mouth makes sense, it doesn't have to swim after fish to eat them, possibly scaring them off. There's probably very little natural light down there so it's not chasing things down in a hurry. Also it's not wasting energy to move it's entire body to catch prey, just it's mouth. Neat.

TL;DR just looks like great engineering to me.

My awesome grandpa, who I've sadly never met, apparently was out fishing or something once, when one of these went under the small boat he was in. You could see the fish over both sides of the boat, it was so darn huge.
