My favorite anti-Vietnam slogan ever is "LBJ- pull out like your old man should have!"

I'm actually at Texas State at San Marcos right now(Where LBJ graduated college) and everyone here takes a supreme amount of pride in him. There are statues of him, streets and buildings named after him, a museum to show most of his belongings, including his White House office desk, and even the silverware he stole from the White House is in there.

amphibicars were notorious for failing and sinking. Uncle Doombunni wouldn't be happy with you.

Johnson was the VP for Kennedy, right? Took over after his assassination?

He was mixed. Did some good things for Civil Rights I believe plus poverty, but I've heard some bad things about his actions in Vietnam. Honestly don't know.

He was pretty damn conflicted.
He did a lot of good things, Civil Rights and the war on poverty (although there is a lot of speculation that it might have harmed the economy than helped, being that poverty had supposedly already been due for a drop in percentages)
The Vietnam part was where he gets a very, very messy mark. So much so that others speculate he had a role in the assassination of JFK, to the point that even ol' Ken's wife herself said LBJ wanted him dead so he could have Vietnam be pushed forth.

It was a very... tricky time, those days.

i think it was neither, he was so so. He created the war on poverty which is really good, but he goofed on the vietnam war, increasing troop support and ****. But I don't blame him, the mindset during that time was much different than today.

Vietnam was a theoretically good idea. They wanted to stop the spread of communism because they were afraid it would spread to the countries around Vietnam if it was allowed to take hold there. And they were right about that, because after we pulled out, communism spread everywhere around there. He is only remembered badly because we lost the war.
