I really don't see how guns and planes that kill are cool. All of you are fawning over death and destruction. Sure the story is kind of cool, but that gun and as well the plane is meant to kill people. Some innocent others not. Dropping bombs out of planes on cities is one of the worst things countries are doing today. You not only kill innocent people, but you destroy their homes and cities.

I might sound stupid right now, but is that thing used to contain empty cartridges? because i heard somewhere that the cartridges aren't thrown out because that would shift the centre of gravity of the whole plane too much...

It's an American made anti tank weapon, Typically firing a 30mm depleted Uranium round at somewhere around 4,000 Rounds per minuet. The plane was literally made around the gun. Just sayin

Japanese made a gigantic gun. Then they had to make a ship to fit it. Huge-ass gun. The gun w/ turret was bigger than any gun made by America, ever.
11 torpedoes and 7 bombs sunk it. When it finally went (rolling over to port) the gun was so big, it popped out. The resulting suction killed most of the crew that had already abandoned ship.
