"It's a nice gun. I'll give you that. But the engraving gives you no tactical advantage whatsoever. Unless you were planning to auction it off as a collector's item."

Here's the fuhrer's personal copy of Mein Kampf, which looks totally badass.

I found it on a website where they auction off Nazi artifacts.

A Walther PPK?
So James Bond, internationally renowned British spy and all round great role-model (what with all the unprotected sex and substance abuse and what have you) used the same gun as Adolf Hitler?!
I am moderately disappointed.

YEA! God damn him for using an excellent firearm, that is easily concealable, that many "agents" in the real world use, solely because Hitler owned one!

"presented to him by Karl Walther for his 50th birthday" it was a birthday present, not personal taste.

I want a CO2 pistol version of this just so that I could say "I need to refill the gas chamber."

Meanwhile his buddy Hermann Göring was packin' an American Smith & Wesson.
And Churchill spent years carrying a German Mauser pistol in the army because he though it was superior to all English Handguns at the time.

It's a strange thing with armaments. Sometimes people say " **** it" and buy whatever is best and end up copying enemy guns, or even buying the same guns. Sometimes national pride is so strong that they end up using ****** guns just because they were locally made.
And sometimes a country or army has no choice in it because of political pressure.

America is interesting in that regard, as they tend to sway wildly from one policy to another.

You seem like you know your weaponry. I always liked the design of the German Mauser pistol

Dunno why. Looked like something I would carry if I ever needed to carry a handgun. Were there any drawbacks?
