Scope Advice

I need some help from some fellow gun nuts. I bought this SCAR-H (Mk 17) 7.62x51 NATO a month ago, and I have to say, it was the best 3k I've spent on anything, but I want to get an ACOG type scope, low magnification(or none) , but sturdy. I've been looking at EOTech's but I just can't afford another $400-$500 for just a sight, so anyone know of anything like that for no more than around $150ish? Or any good places to start looking? Thanks in advance for any actual help.

Pic related, my Dad's MAK-90 on top and my SCAR-H (Mk 17) on bottom.

Here you have these nice rifles and I have the peasant proof weapon.

This may seem more as a question than help, as I have no intention of pretending I even know much of real guns.
I'm an airsoft gun nut (as it's the only legal thing where I live).

So perhaps it is possible to use airsoft peripherals on real guns?
For example, using a red dot sight that is used in airsoft on a real gun?
They're usually much cheaper, though there may be a reason for that that I do not know. I apologize for how extremely stupid this sounds in advance. If you do know the reason why this is not possible then I'd love to know as well to correct my stupidity.

Here is a picture of an ACOG RED-DOT sight from my local airsoft shop.

Sig sauer STS-081. Non-magnifying, holographic (non projecting) red dot, EASY to see in the sun on most brightness settings, 8000 hour battery life, sturdy mounting bracket. 80 is the best price I've seen on that one, though they can go for up to 125. I'm a red dot snob, so I might go for something fancy pants with a rifle like that but nonetheless Sig makes a mean red dot.

Also... a scope should cost about the same amount as you spent on the rifle. Quality + Quality = Dead Guy

I don't know enough about scopes to help you, but look at that sexy SCAR-H.

By my father's standards: "The scope you buy should cost as much, to half as much as the rifle." - owner of a plethora of rifles, handguns, and shotguns.

By my friends standards: He owns a $2,700 ruger, .308. and his scope is about 1,200 from Savage.

You get what you pay for. I've put cheap little $150-250 scopes on my .22s and the lenses fall out, the threading is cheap (because the metal is cheap)...

You will get no good advice here. Go to a store with its own range and ask if you can try out a couple. Everyone has their own preferences and you should develop your own instead of asking...funnyjunk. I mean really?

If you know the eotech you want give www.ashtactical.com a shout and let them know the model you are looking at. You save when you preorder specific items, sometimes 10% or more depending on what it is.
