The Discovery, History and Learning Channels stopped playing mostly educational shows because no one watched them. Can't really blame them for that.

I mean let's be real here. How many of the people who complain about the lack of educational shows actually watched them regularly when they were there, and aren't just bitching because they can?

I'm watching 'Secrets of the Founding Fathers' on H2 (Ch. 146, Ch. 1243 HD - Bright House). It's pretty educational. History Channel 2 is usually pretty educational, it doesn't show all that dramatic fag **** that the original History Channel shows, that's why I like it.Also, the Military Channel (Ch. 142, Ch. 1244 HD - Bright House) usually shows educational shows as well, or just bad ass documentaries.

My favorite channels used to be Discovery Channel and Discovery Health. I loved the **** out of Discovery Health.

IT WAS REPLACED BY THE OPRAH WINFREY NETWORK.

I wanted to ******* punch something, like, seriously? You're replacing quality educational television about Emergency Room operation, how autopsies work, anatomical structure, interesting medical cases... But you're replacing it for a SOULFUL BLACK WOMAN?

Discovery Channel is just **** now. There are a few good History Channel channel shows, but it's mostly crap too.

Gators and crocs aren't dinosaurs. A lot of people think they are because they lived at the same time, but you know what? So did turtles. And rats. And whales. And sharks. None of these are "dinosaurs". The closest thing we have today is birds, but that's like calling a bear a "mammal-like reptile"; they've evolved past being dinosaurs.

I think the reason why we don't **** with them has something to do with the fact that their jaws are the most powerful on earth. But hey, it could be the fact that they're related to dinosaurs.

It's always like this. So far I've only seen one good show about sharks, that had many interesting stuff in it about them. For example: There are 50-75 accidents each year cause through a shark biting a person (with about 10 dead each year). (Mostly because a shark mostly trusts his sense of seeing, like we do, but has very bad eyesight. Also there are cases of people provoking a shark.)

In comparison: It is estimated that each year world-wide there are about 1000 people struck by lightning. But I guess "The majestic cloud: Floating throught heaven, only waiting to find its next victim" doesn't sound so good.

Jesus christ...I can't imagine what it would be like if someone dropped me into the ocean to let me sink and drown while I had no way to move my limbs and save myself. Just there, at the bottom of the sea/ocean absolutely helpless and vulnerable to the world around me, confused, in pain, and scared.
