I love my second amendment right. for 2 reasons: I like knowing that i can arm myself against those that could hurt myself or others, and by owning weapons responsibly i can show that you dont need to ban them. people can be responsible enough to take care of them and not hurt anyone. Even if I am just one person.

Poster you are dumb. In a militia the guns are those that the militia men personally own, it does not give us the right to own guns in order to participate in a militia, but to own our own guns because we need our own guns so if we ever need to we may form a militia.

Has anybody read even read the third-and-a-half amendment? It says "Anything in this constitution may be taken away at anytime, so long as the government deems it no longer valid." I'm all for assholes not having the first, but taking away the second won't actually solve anything.

When this nation was formed, people had guns that needed to be reloaded after every shot, just like the military did.

Today, we have guns that need to be reloaded after you use up a clip, just like the military does.

I personally never understood why anyone would want to ban guns completely. I mean sure you have those that misuse them and murder people but those people typically have no intention of following the law from get-go (ya know with that whole intent to murder) so banning guns would do nothing to eliminate the possibility of one who is dedicated obtain them. In addition, you don't even need guns to kill people. One can still murder many with the use of a knife, machete, or the like.

It amuses me how anti-gun enthusiasts live under the laughably absurd notion that no guns = no violent crime. At least with guns, the few who actually have a pair and weren't raised by liberal, hippie idiots to be passive and completely afraid of their own fucking shadow can still defend themselves against legitimate threats and lunatics. We never hear of how many serial killers, rapists, or burglars were killed because they happened to stumble into the wrong motherfuckin neighborhood. We only hear about how guns are BAD and how everyone who uses them are BAD. Typical news media filth and we're buying right into it and at the same time we're convinced that we're the smart, informed ones because CNN told us so.
