The Green Lantern Movie - Part 2
This is part 2 of a poorly structured script I wrote today.
It's the next Green lantern Movie as I wish it would be.

Part 2 - The Green Lantern Movie
The words of the oath appear in the air in front of the ring (line by line) and Hal starts to read, at first automatically, but growing in certainty, gravitas, and volume.
Hal: In brightest day, in blackest night. No evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might Beware my power. Green Lantern's light!
The alley is flooded with a deep green light, growing lighter to a blinding white before fading down suddenly to a night scene with a brightly shining Hal Jordan, clad in the classic black and green Green lantern costume (white gloves and eyes, domino mask, costume looks solid and darker than the light surrounding Hal).
Light radiates from him white and brilliant as his ring glows green as he holds it up displayed on his clenched fist, the ring looks even brighter in it's green brilliance than his white light. The light slowly draws in to only surround him and a small area around him.
Pan out to reveal the criminal staring in horror before he quickly runs away. Hal looks at the criminal's gun on the floor and a sweeping arc of green light swoops down to crush the gun into pieces.
Hal looks at the ring and images flash through his brain. We barely make out pictures of disasters, car crashes, fights, a man spiking a girls drink, a kid crying as his dog is buried, a couple fighting.
Then we see images from alien worlds, buildings collapse, spaceships explode into fire, strange alien weapons are fired between unknown species, a small alien cries out and reaches for someone as they fall into a bottomless drop from a futuristic balcony.
The last image we hold on is the Yellow figure, staring menacingly at us (as he flies somewhere?).
Back to Hal staring at the ring, he looks up into the distance and stares attentive and unmoving for a moment before relaxing his muscles and flying upwards surrounded dimly by green light.
Hal arrives at a fire, sirens in the distance but no fire engines, bits crumble off the flaming building as it breaks apart, roaring flames cover the walls and you can hear shouting/screams from within. Hal points his fist at the building, it's surrounded in a green light and everything grows still, bits of rubble stop falling in mid air, Hal concentrates and the flames start to die down. Hal speaks and his voice is amplified, booming out loud and deep.
Hal: The fire has been extinguished, please evacuate the building immediately.
People can be seen running from the house, and away from him, others cower in the building, eyes closed tight in fear.
Hal looks over his shoulder and and his teeth clench, frowning sternly he turns back to the building and we see a slow motion shot of the rubble flying apart while the people scream in terror, floating protected in bubbles.
The rubble settles down gently as the people are lowered to the ground in front of the building. The camera pans up from the astonished face of a survivor to the space where Hal was floating but he's already gone.
Cut to a silent montage of Hal saving people. He walks through a firefight stopping all the bullets and destroying the guns, surrounds a plane in green light as it falls burning through the sky and lowers it gently to the ground, lifts a boat out of a storm and flies it onto land beaching it but saving the occupants.
He stops a tidal wave across a heavily inhabited stretch of seafront but we can see the wave crashing into buildings in the distance as he grits his teeth in determination to keep the water back.
He flies away from a woman as she lies bleeding from stab wound and paramedics run to her side.
A Child screams in fear and falls over stumbling back from him as he lowers her cat towards her from a tree, we hold on Hal's worried face, still frightening in it's concern, with solid white eyes and glowing light causing striking shadows to play around his features.
He looks up into the sky and flies away.
