You just gotta persevere.
Here's a little way of life that might help

If you can't change it, then don't dwell on it. Remember your dad and his memory, and keep yourself busy.
If you can change it, then change it.

Idle hands are the devil's plaything (this is a saying, not a religious type advice)

i'm atheist

Here's an Irish saying about lost loved ones:

"Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free!
I follow the plan God laid for me.
I saw His face, I heard His call,
I took His hand and left it all...
I could not stay another day,
To love, to laugh, to work or play;
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
And if my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss...
Ah yes, these things I, too, shall miss.
My life's been full, I've savoured much:
Good times, good friends, a loved-one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief—
Don't shorten yours with undue grief.
Be not burdened with tears of sorrow,
Enjoy the sunshine of the morrow."

**** happens, and we all eventually die. I'm very sorry for your loss, and there's nothing wrong with crying for the next couple of days. It's normal for us to feel depressed after a sudden loss of someone very important to us. All I can say is be strong, but don't hide your emotions, tomorrow you should talk to someone who you feel comfortable with to vent what you're feeling. It does wonders and makes coping with the PAIN (forget what anyone says, this kind of emotion is straight PAIN. I'd rather fracture a bone than feel the emotion that comes with losing someone) a lot easier.

All I can say now is be strong fellow FJ user, don't let the world break you.

Take pills, man. There's no way to get your mind off of that... Take NyQuil or whatever they sell at Walmart to help you sleep.
I'm sorry. That's ******* terrible. Good luck tonight and for all the other nights when you grieve.

I wish I could help you... with that feeling so terrible I don't dare to contemplate it for a moment. Just knock yourself out with some over the counter medicine.

Give my the peace of mind to accept the things i cant change
