Theodore Roosevelt was the single most bad ass man to ever be on our earth, and he's gone, with nothing more than a few paragraphs in our school's text books.

Yeah, but he's the reason the US has protected national parks. So really, his legacy also includes all the grizzly bears and bald eagles that live there.
Which I think you'll agree is a way more badass legacy than any of us are likely to leave.

I think there's a little more than a few paragraphs in textbooks about him. Everyone knows who he is.

My father committed suicide when I was 6.
Don't really see my fathers side of the family as they're all fucking psychotic.
my family from my mothers side:
grandfather is an alcoholic.
grandmother, psychological broken down.
aunt, surviving.
Female cousin, on drugs.
Male cousin, have muscular Dystrophy, have had steel inserted into his body to keep his spine straight, can barely eat normally anymore and in a few years he will need help breathing even though he's only 12.

Life is not about Enduring anything, it just keeps on going, one day at a time, even if you want it or not.

I can understand but don't know that feel...

Basically, my entire family is fucking emo, so it's not like I had one of those fun, lively childhoods where you run through the sunshine with flowers in the hair and rainbows above, but nobody had a perfect childhood.

Not to mention all the things pointed towards me, but I guess that the subject here is about people that lost family, and wanted to "survive."

Life is hard for all of us. Sometimes all we can do is laugh at our scars
