Just thought of something:

OK so "the best one" is based off of your own perception of what are "the best qualities". Given that this is usually based off of what you don't have, but want, this just goes back to living without regret. My high school coach told us that the key to happiness is to just do what makes you happy (he had 2 cars to himself on a teachers salary. He's working to pay them off, which set him back a bit, but they made him happy so he didn't care.) People still berate him about it. "It's a waste of money."

I'm guessing if someone like him meets his "person he could've become" he probably wouldn't give two shits, despite society telling him he's "doing it wrong". So then is it society who tells us this criteria, or our own person? it's probably our own person, but then the flaw in that is that every arrogant douchebag/asshole you meet, who you think should go to hell, would be completely unaffected by it, because they're not the type to have regrets.

So maybe with that your hell theory doesn't really work...

Well, I think this is bullshit.

At least for me living by restrictions is not living at all. I'd rather suffer the consequences of my mistakes. How do expect me to know what regret feels like if I never did anything that I regret? How can I possibly know what things are gonna make me regret doing them?

All I see in that picture is some guy chasing a model society imposed him. It pretty much beacons: "This is how happiness looks like. Be like that or you won't be happy!". Newsflash: we are not the same. In fact, we are all as different as we can be. Blindly chasing an ideal of how we should look and what we should do is plain stupid.

What I won't do is sit around letting people tell me how to live my life.
