This is my cat, Gizmo. My family has had him for around 2 years now. Yesterday, he started acting out of the ordinary, i.e. stopping in his tracks, meowing loud and more frequent, etc. Normally, he would be running wildly around the house, playing with the dog and other cat, and rubbing against everything and everyone, acting sweet and innocent. Despite his being a pain in the ass almost daily, he is a great cat. He may attack you for no reason, steal your chair right when you get up, or stare at you for the longest time but he is still a wonderful addition to our family. Today, we found out Gizmo has a urinary tract infection. My mom luckily found a veterinarian's office that was still open and took emergencies. They checked him out and told us that if we would have waited until morning to bring him in, he would have died. The vet had to knock him out and do surgery on him. There is a chance he could still not make it. Above is a comp of pictures of Gizmo.

For the people who don't want to read it and miss out on the major feels, my cat has an infection and may die during surgery.

I do not want thumbs for this, I just want to share this story and I know some of you can relate to this.

One day my cat came home, he was acting really weird. He almost couldn't lift his head to look at me or my family, and when he meowed, he just made some weird noises. He seemed as if he didn't have the strength to stand properly, and when he walked, he could just take a few steps forward before he collapsed of exhaustion. We tried to call the vet, but they had closed for the day (we have a really bad animal clinic in our town). We thought maybe that the next day we could take him to the vet and figure out what was wrong with him.
The same night, my father had a dream. He dreamt that Snorre (our cat) trotted against him, jumped into his lap and licked him on his hand, followed by a little nudge to the head. Then he jumped off his lap and walked towards where he slept during the night.
The next day, I went to his sleepingplace to see if he was allright. But when I found him, he was all cold and his body was stiff like stone. I've never cried that much in my whole life. I remember that I didn't want to let go of him when my dad wanted to take him so we could bury him. I just wanted to hold on to him forever and remember how warm and soft he was, and how good we connected. Seriously, we had some sort of code language. I knew exactly what he wanted when he meowed at me, and he knew exactly what I wanted when I talked to him.

Later we found out that he died of antifreeze.

Sorry for the long comment. I just felt like sharing my cat's story.

I have a cat of the same name, only grey and black striped. one day, he started walking funny, we took him downstairs so he can use his box, we noticed he couldn't. my mom thougt he was constipated or something, so i watched him try to use the bathroom, he was trying so hard but something came up and he puked out what looked like some sort of...i dont even know, but i immediately realised something was wrong with him, so in the morning i told my mom about it and she was hesitant to take him to the animal hospita even tho she saw he was a mess, but she saw the look on my face which looked something like the picture im going to post, so we took him to one, and the vet said that it was a life or death situation saying there is a chance he might not have made it, when he said that i lost it, i had to leave to the car and just let everything out. but the doctors were gonna try to fix him, he was gone for a week but it seemed like forever to me, he was easily my best friend ever. but we got a call from the doctor saying that it was good to pick him up, i was ecstatic to hear my best friend was okay, we went as fast as we could to get him. when we got back, all i did was hold him and pet him for the longest time, and now he sleeps with me everynight and just loves me, and i love him right back.
