My parents allowed something very similar to happen to my cat when i moved, so i can say i honestly know just how you feel and you hold onto that anger as long as you damn well need to. I will never leave my cat and dog with them again after what they let happen to my old cat. it's been years and i still hate them, horrible fucking excuses for humans.

What happened to your old cat?

My parents kept "forgetting" to feed him. He starved slowly over a course of months because they occasionally fed him hen they "remembered." I'm happy to say my dog and cat now get a vet trip just in case 1 a month and though my cat is an over weight lard ass he's healthy.

I'd be incredibly pissed.

Yeah, i still refuse to speak to my step father the only reason i talk to my mother is because she is bed ridden i can't entirely blame her, but don't get me wrong i'm still pissed at her too. But more than being pissed i'm hurt. He was an awesome cat, : /
So i feel for you OP, i really do.
