I fucking lost it when that guy said god was gonna give Oden a new leg.
There are so many things that I never got the chance to say goodbye to.

I've seen this before , saddest thing I ever watched.
OP I was literally fed up with all of these feel posts and was about to go take a shower as I hit the next button one more time, as the video started I paused my music and began watching. Obviously skeptical at first as soon as I realized it was about a dog I almost lost it, I moved out for college not too long ago and my parents moved into a smaller house out by a lake. My dad took his chocolate lab "Sugar" with them, my dad got her when I became a teenager because I stopped spending as much time with him. So she naturally became his new best friend and companion when I moved out. They would go hunting together, when he fished she would sit right next to him and every morning when he drank his coffee on the porch she would be there too. These last few months have been tough on my own, but I knew that had to be tougher on my father, but as long as he had Sugar I knew I could just do my thing and all would be fine. A few days ago my mom called me to tell me that Sugar was dying, apparently she had been showing symptoms for a while but due to the distance there was no way I could of known, they wouldn't tell me because they know I know how important she was. She died that same day, I called my father and that was the first time I had heard him cry. Our family has always been distant, not sharing feelings or even showing much emotion, you know, just handling things on our own. So for me to hear my own Father cry was something I wasn't ready for. He assured me that "she is in a better place" and I told him that "There could be no better place than by his side". After viewing this I am planning a trip home as soon as I can, thank you Funnyjunk.

Holy shit man, This video made me cry so much more than anything posted on FJ.
Not just because of the love, and the bond between those two, but because it makes me want something like that. It makes me remember that there's a chance that I'll never feel a love or a bond that strong with anyone, or anything.
Excuse me while I go sit on my roof for an hour to think, thanks for sharing though OP.

3:03 when he's wagging his tail when they're carrying him down the stairs.
Manly tears.
Manly tears.
Seeing how we are sharing sad stories I'm gonna share mine. When I was younger I had a pet rat named Sandy. She was the best pet I could ask for and I loved her and cared for her every chance I had. She ended up living to be about 6 years old (that is seriously old for a rat) and she got a tumor. I was around 8 at this time and didn't have many friends so she was my best friend and we were inseparable. I didn't want to say goodbye. I couldn't say goodbye. I came home from school and my cousin was over and I wanted to show him Sandy. I was so excited to see her after the school day but when I got to my room her cage was empty.
this reminded of our dog who passed away at age of 16. She was a german sheperd who was brought to us when i was 2y old and she was my best friend. Whe-ever i went to school she walked me to the bus stop and when i came from school she was already waiting for me and we'd walk back home. sometimes when i could'nt sleep or saw nightmares she would jump on my bed and curl at my feet and everything was ok. I still remember the day she died a natural death via heart-attack and i was right by her side when she passed away and i cried for hours. now i cry like a little girl, because this brings back so much memories of vera.

I watched this entire video, with my dog, Meeko, sitting on my lap. I started crying, I don't ever think hes seen me cry before, but he just looked at me with his ears down. He is my best friend in this entire world.
