I'll get red thumbs for this... but during my child hood I landed in Canada in 1999 because my own country was at war. For the next 6 years my family spent trying to get us up the social ladder (which they have succeeded)... so I never really got a chance to play pokemon on gameboy and such.. this isn't a bash.. rather.. I was hoping there could be someone that would be able to tell me where to start? I may be 20 now... but it's never too late to do something you couldn't do before. I'm willing to get an emulator (since gameboys are very hard to find here in Southern Ontario)... but I want an opportunity to try something that was part of a normal child hood.. merely for the sake of the experience just to get a feel of what it was like to be normal.

I know I sound like some depressed dude.. I was just a kid who grew up on hard circumstances.. and I want to try to live moments I couldn't so I don't end up dying bitter having never really tried something because "I'm too old for that"... we're not too old.. there is a child in all of us.. well that child is asking for some memories.. even at 20... and I'll be damned if I'll just sit there wondering "what it was like".

if pokemon black and white are in your childhood you're too young for this site.

It's like the cartridges get cut down the middle each generation

A man-child hood

these are 18 years of games, so even if you were born an immediately started red or blue version, you'd be an adult by the time black 2 and white 2 came out

Wow. Look at that **** . Another ******* "Videogame childhood" post.

I can't believe you ***** . My childhood was going to the shore every summer, running through the woods during any free time I had, actually making some ******* friends instead of sitting in front of a screen all my ******* life.

You people ******* disgust me.

Then **** went downhill for you because you're sitting in front of a screen right now.

I dont think so that pile contains pokemon red and white... now im not saying one is better than the other but i am saying that they were released to far apart to both be part of the childhood of a single person

I really don't know if Pokemon Black and White fit into the "childhood" of too many people here.

pokemon emerald is best pokemon
User avatar #47 - thewhitenigger (08/26/2013) [-]
either platinum or emerald are my favourite out of these,
i loved it when they wrapped up a generation by adding all the pokemon onto one game and then improving it and making it longer
