It is said that after Fred died in the Deathly Hallows, George could not preform the patronus charm which required pure happiness to cast (Quote from harry in Order of the pheonix "You need to think happy thoughts! Let it fill you up!") And because his brother died, he was depressed for a long time.

So later when George had a child, he was so happy that he could finally cast the spell again.
